Violence Categorized Domestic by Sheryl L. Jennings

I’ll demystify mental health for the #networks & #news #media. I had extremely severe anxiety return for the first time in years over a move to a new house because nothing went as I had planned.

It was not easy but as in life we sometimes have no choice and I hung on knowing that this will pass. However, if the #media #news doesn’t stop the highly irresponsible flood of stories attributing mental health to public violence that will not pass, & eventually you will be held responsible because that mental health #news #media link does indeed drive up health care costs and I heard it straight from a Psychiatrist’s mouth. Inpatient stays are longer over the fear it creates in the public and the fear of being held responsible.

Is even one person ever deemed mentally ill by the #media in the initial attention gathering part of a news story on a mass shooting <insert violence>ever classified as too ill to stand trial? No, they are not. It is a nasty trick that perpetuates enormous costs in a strained health care system and the #media is wrecking health care policy and pricing over it. They are also classifying what types of crimes they deem mental illness vs terrorism. The #news has a lot to offer but this abuse of power needs to stop as we run short on money.

The most repulsive part of the mental health and violence #media take over is that it hides domestic violence and they know it.

I doubt that it is because the #media wants to hide domestic violence but maybe I’m mistaken because it doesn’t sell. It is the number one link between public violence, terrorism, and all of the rest.

Final note, if the #news #media is irresponsible enough to give very little coverage to the domestic violence link to public violence then they have manipulated the media in a publically harmful and dangerous way. What other ways might they be manipulating the media?
